Hi Tracey,

I love the new player. I am in process of putting something similar together for my band's website and was wondering if development was open, and if so, does it have an open source license?

It is really nice, keep up the good work!

hi,
yes it is an opensource player. we have opted to buy the commercial version of it, which simply allows a few extra features like "related videos", "sharing" screen (to twitter/facebook, etc.), and removal of the default watermark/logo. but otherwise it is the same player.

I copied info below from:
http://www.longtailvideo.com/jw-player/license/

JW Player 6 — Open Source Edition
The use of the JW Player Open Source edition is governed by a Creative Commons license. In short:

JW Player Open Source - You can use, modify, copy, and distribute this edition as long as it's for non-commercial use, you provide attribution, and share under a similar license.
The license summary and full text can be found here: CC BY-NC-SA 3.0

you can use/try our embed codes -- they work very nicely directly on most websites/blogs and you can size/playlist/autoplay them as you like!

hi tracey,

is there any way to disable "related videos" popping up after an embedded video plays? i noticed a lot of questions about this in the forum but i haven't seen any answers. i would like to disable this feature if possible. the "related" videos that are suggested have no relevance to the original video. thank you in advance for your reply.
